The Power of Now
High performing people are driven by urgency and live in the now. They don't waste time trawling through the past, dreaming up imaginary futures or wondering what their goals are. Each and every day provides a window in which they notice opportunities, advance a project, solve a problem, create ideas or provide service to others.
To do this, to live continually in present moment awareness, requires that you create an internal space free of internal chatter, fantasies and distractions. In which your attention focuses like a laser-beam on what is of enduring importance to you.
The art of living in the Now takes self-discipline and extended practice. Some people use Mindfulness routines in order to develop this focus although these practices are not strictly necessary to success. What is of greater value is that you keep in mind that time is precious and will soon be ended by your death: that each and every day may be your last chance to be the best that you can be and be of service to others.
Success isn't created tomorrow: it is created today. In my coaching work with you I take that as a given and will ask you to demonstrate the urgency that follows from that insight.
"The future enters into us, in order to transform itself in us, long before it happens."
Rainer Maria Rilke
